6.8Two nights was enough
The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot. There is a coffee machine in the room, which saved us a few euros a day.
The walk back from Bondi Beach is all uphill, which we had not thought about.

Wifi was quick enough for email, maps and an evening of streaming. The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot.
Everything on site is priced for people not counting, from the water to the laundry.

7.8Simple and clean
Third time in Sydney and the first time we have got the hotel right. The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left. The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot.
Aircon only runs when the balcony door is properly shut, and the catch is temperamental.

8.7Good from check-in onwards
A proper coffee machine in the room, not sachets of dust. Firm mattress, which suits me, and a duvet that is not the usual thin thing. Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Manly late at night.
I was reminded about the ten checkout twice on the Thursday, which felt unnecessary.

8.3Worth it for Manly
Right, so. Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night. Location is the strong point - twelve minutes to Sydney Opera House and a metro stop close by.
The bathroom is clean but the fittings belong to a previous decade.

Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out. The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot. The terrace is a good place to sit with a book in the late afternoon.
The bathroom door catches on the bed frame, which tells you the size of the Family Suite.
