Nearly perfect
The kind of place you book for two nights and immediately regret not booking for four.
The curtains do not quite meet in the middle, so you are up with the light.

Location carries it
Someone has planted herbs in pots by the door and you are clearly meant to use them. Lovely for a couple of nights away, quiet and personal.
No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw.

Adequate and well placed
The Family Suite suited us well for a short stay. We slept well: the room is dark, cool and quiet after ten. Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about. Location is the strong point - eight minutes to Beitou Hot Springs and a metro stop close by.
The walls are those of an old house, so you hear the stairs at night.

Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake; the view over the rooftops from the balcony is a proper one. The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot.
The bathroom is clean but the fittings belong to a previous decade. No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw.

The buffet gets picked over if you arrive after eleven.
