Good location, mixed stay
They keep a pillow menu at reception and actually bring what you ask for. Parking is available and reasonably priced for the area.
A bottle of water in the room costs what a bottle of wine costs on the corner. You have to log in again every day, which is a small irritation that adds up over five nights.

Lovely staff, lovely building
Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms. We are not usually breakfast people and we went down every morning. For what we paid in December, this was the best value stay of the trip by a distance. The concierge booked the museum slots we had failed to get online.
Getting a taxi to find the entrance took some explaining.

Comfortable, quiet, well placed
Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms. I forgot it was a public holiday and they sorted me a table anyway.
The car park is a eight-minute walk and costs more per night than I expected.

Great few days in Canggu
Breakfast is worth getting up for: honey from the market, the morning coffee made to order and fruit that tasted of something. We were at Tanah Lot in five minutes on foot, which changed how we used the days. Four of us across two rooms on the same corridor, which they arranged without being asked.
The bathroom light is on a motion sensor and comes on if you turn over in bed. One small lift for five floors - fine unless everyone checks out at once.

Good bones, tired edges
Good position overall, and we walked most places rather than paying for cabs. They let us sit in the courtyard with our own wine on the last night.
There is a bar on the corner that empties out noisily on a Wednesday night.

Comfortable and well placed
Not fancy, but that was never the point. Twenty minutes to the conference centre, laundry back same day, invoice correct first time. I upgraded to the Deluxe King Room and would do it again without thinking.
