The lowest point of the trip
Nothing I would put in this box, and I have thought about it. One of the cleaners was lovely and clearly working with nothing.
The bed linen was stained. We asked for it to be changed and waited until nearly ten that night. The lift was out of order the whole week and there is no sign of it being fixed. We asked twice about the noise and nothing came of it.

Charming and spotless
Would come back tomorrow. Opened the shutters on the first morning and just stood there for a minute. A cat lives in the courtyard and considers the chairs to be hers.
Shower pressure drops off when the floor is busy at about half past seven.

Clean and central, not much else
Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat.
Pillows are enormous and there is no alternative on offer.

fifteen minutes from Széchenyi Baths
Within two streets there is a natural wine shop and a proper greengrocer, so we ate well and cheaply.
One small lift for four floors - fine unless everyone checks out at once.

A stay of two halves
Location is the strong point - twenty minutes to Széchenyi Baths and a metro stop close by. Feels like a real home rather than a rental, which we prefer. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced.
Everything on site is priced for people not counting, from the water to the laundry. Wifi does not reach the terrace, which is where you actually want to sit.

Being five minutes from Great Market Hall was the one thing that worked in its favour.
