Do not book this
The location is genuinely good, and that is the only reason this is not lower.
The lift was out of order the whole week and there is no sign of it being fixed. There was mould in the corner of the bathroom ceiling and the extractor did not work. The bed linen was stained. We asked for it to be changed and waited until nearly half past ten that night. We asked twice about the noise and nothing came of it.

Not quite worth it
Two bus routes and a tram stop within a few minutes, so I got around easily.
Nobody was on the desk for about fifteen minutes when I arrived on the Thursday. There is construction across the street that starts at seven, so bring earplugs.

Could not have gone better
Spotless, including the places nobody checks - skirting boards, the kettle, under the bed. A bell rings somewhere nearby on the hour and we stopped noticing it by the second day.
We could not find anything to complain about.

Nobody made me feel odd about eating alone, and the desk checked I had got back on the wet night.

Great few days in Punavuori
Third time in Helsinki and the first time we have got the hotel right. Washer and a drying rack, so we travelled home with a clean bag. Spot on for a first visit - you can walk out of the door and start. Fast, stable wifi in the room rather than only in the lobby, which is rarer than it should be. Christmas markets two streets away and the smell of them drifting up to the window.
Nothing worth mentioning, and that is rare.

Clean and quiet, close to everything
Self check-in with a code, clear instructions, and we were inside two minutes after the taxi left. The front door code worked every time, which sounds like a low bar until you have stayed somewhere it did not.
No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw.
