Does what it says
Clean and tidy throughout the stay.
The furniture is dated and the corridors could do with a repaint.

Small room, great location
Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms. Free weights and two treadmills that are not held together with tape. A real desk with a real chair and a socket at elbow height - somebody has actually worked in a hotel room before.
A second bedside lamp and a couple more sockets would finish the room off.

Quiet and central, kind staff
Straight to it: the location is the thing. No faff with the room: dark, cool and quiet by ten. The window in the bathroom looks straight onto a wall covered in jasmine.
The walk back from Royal Botanic Garden is all uphill, which we had not thought about.

Could not have gone better
Would come back tomorrow. Nobody made me feel odd about eating alone, and the desk checked I had got back on the wet night. The bed was the surprise: firm, wide and made up with linen that actually felt like linen. A washing machine halfway through a month on the road is worth more than a minibar.
Street parking is free after half past nine and impossible before it.

Tired and overpriced
There is a good market on Saturday about seven minutes away that nobody had told us about. Good set-up for families - a shallow pool, high chairs and staff who do not mind noise.
The sofa bed in the Superior Twin Room is not somewhere you would want a second week.

Better in the photos
Location is the strong point - five minutes to Taronga Zoo and a metro stop close by.
The room we were given was not the one we booked and it took four conversations to be moved. Aircon only runs when the balcony door is properly shut, and the catch is temperamental.
