9.6Spoiled us completely
The kids club actually did things rather than parking them in front of a screen, so we got two mornings to ourselves. We upgraded to the Standard Double Room and would do it again without thinking. Nothing was too much trouble - a spare adapter, a table booking, a taxi at dawn.
Nothing worth mentioning, and that is rare.

7.9Reliable rather than exciting
Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced. Clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing.
I was reminded about the nine checkout twice on the Monday, which felt unnecessary.

10.0Everything we hoped for
Underfloor heating in the bathroom in August is a small luxury that I noticed every morning. Room service arrived in fifteen minutes at half past ten, which is why I book here.
The walk back to the station on the Saturday, and that is scraping.

7.6Adequate and well placed
I left a charger behind and it arrived at home nine days later, no charge for the postage. Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night.
No air conditioning, and August in Singapore is warm - the fan only does so much.

8.8Handy for Marina Bay Sands
Shuttle runs often enough that I never checked the timetable twice. Nadia at the concierge desk got me a table at a place that had told me it was fully booked.
Nobody was on the desk for about twenty minutes when I arrived on the Tuesday. It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with the suitcases in the heat.

6.2Not quite worth it
They let us sit in the courtyard with our own wine on the last night. Somebody had left a shelf of paperbacks by the window and I got through two of them.
Service in the bar was slow when it filled up after eleven. The shower head is fixed high on the wall and cannot be angled.
