Left slightly deflated
Good for a few nights alone - I was left to get on with it. The Family Room suited me well for a short stay. Reception were helpful when I needed a doctor's address, which I appreciated.
It is showing its age in places - a chipped door frame here, a tired carpet there.

The kids club actually did things rather than parking them in front of a screen, so we got two mornings to ourselves.

Everything we hoped for
Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three. Check-in was quick and human, and they remembered our names for the rest of the stay.
We had to be out by nine on the last day, and that is genuinely the worst of it.

Does what it says
Not fancy, but that was never the point. Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside.
Checkout is eleven and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.

Comfortable enough
Good for a few nights alone - I was left to get on with it. The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast.
The buffet gets picked over if you arrive after ten.

Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about
Reasonably peaceful at the back of the building. Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night. The aircon held the room cool all through the June heat.
The extractor does not cope, so the mirror is useless after the first shower.
