Reliable rather than exciting
The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left. Grace at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful.
There is a bar on the corner that empties out noisily on a Thursday night. Aircon only runs when the balcony door is properly shut, and the catch is temperamental.

Good bones, tired edges
The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left. They keep a pillow menu at reception and actually bring what you ask for.
The sofa bed in the flat is not somewhere you would want a second week.

We have already rebooked
Came for two nights, stayed four. Living like a resident rather than a guest for a week: market, kitchen, balcony, repeat.
It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with the cases in the heat.

Would look elsewhere next time
Wanted to like it more than we did. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced. The flat is well organised and everything has somewhere to go. A bell rings somewhere nearby on the hour and we stopped noticing it by the second day.
Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom except the edge of the basin.

Would stay again at that price
Fair value for Mexico City prices, particularly in high season. The flat is well organised and everything has somewhere to go. Samir at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful.
Everything on site is priced for people not counting, from the water to the laundry.

Ask for a room at the back
The courtyard rooms hear nothing but pigeons, which is the whole point - the staff pointed us to a wine bar round the corner and it became our regular.
We were reminded about the half past nine checkout twice on the Monday, which felt unnecessary. There is no fridge in the room, so the wine we bought stayed warm.
