Needs some attention
Clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing. Plaza de Armas is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far - quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out. The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot.
Check-in is not until four and there is nowhere comfortable to wait. A bottle of water in the room costs what a bottle of wine costs on the corner.

Dirty and badly run
Cheap, and now I understand why; the morning coffee was fine, which is a thin thing to end on.
I wanted to sleep somewhere clean and quiet, and got neither. Housekeeping did not come at all in four nights and we asked for towels twice. The fridge in the Double Room with Garden View had somebody else's food in it.

The address is the best thing about it
Bikes to borrow, which I used on both mornings. The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot. Wifi was quick enough for email, maps and an evening of streaming.
The shower head is fixed high on the wall and cannot be angled.

Quiet room, great coffee
Plenty of storage in the Family Suite, which sounds dull until you have unpacked for a fortnight. The radiator clanked at about two in the morning and then settled down, and honestly we grew fond of it.
Not a single thing, which almost never happens.

I left a charger behind and it arrived at home nine days later, no charge for the postage. Elke at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful.
Everything on site is priced for people not counting, from the water to the laundry.
