9.5Would book again tomorrow
The lift has one of those inner doors you have to pull shut, which the children opposite treated as the highlight of their week. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right.
We were reminded about the half past ten checkout twice on the Thursday, which felt unnecessary. No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw.

4.7A bad three nights
Nothing I would put in this box, and I have thought about it.
The bed linen was stained. We asked for it to be changed and waited until nearly half past nine that night. The lift was out of order the whole week and there is no sign of it being fixed. Housekeeping did not come at all in four nights and we asked for towels twice. We asked twice about the noise and nothing came of it.

6.4Passable, at a push
Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out. Two bus routes and a tram stop within a few minutes, so we got around easily. Clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing.
The room we were given was not the one we booked and it took five conversations to be moved.

6.1Several things went wrong
At least there was plenty for our two to do.
The Superior Twin Room is smaller than the photographs suggest - two open cases will not fit on the floor.

Fine, with caveats. The desk is staffed at night, which mattered for our late arrival.
Not much space to move around the bed once a case is open on the floor. The restaurant is fine but you would not choose it if you were not already staying there.

The restaurant is convenient and priced about where you would expect. Breakfast is an extra, and worth it for honey from the market alone.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is Singapore rather than the hotel.
