7.7Does what it says
Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about. Andrei at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful. Somebody had left a shelf of paperbacks by the window and I got through two of them.
No lift, and it is five flights with a hard turn at the top. Worth knowing before you book. Only one socket by the bed, and the switch for it is behind the headboard.

7.2Would think twice
Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about. Connection was good enough to work from for a morning. A washing machine in the flat, which halfway through a long trip is a real thing.
For the money we expected a little more attention to detail. The radiator clanked from about quarter past seven every morning.

6.6Good spot, tired rooms
Two nights, and two would have been plenty. I slept well: the room is dark, cool and quiet after ten. Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat.
It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with the suitcases in the heat. Building work started at six each morning and nobody had warned me at booking.

Long weekend, first time in Centro Habana. The building is residential, so the stairwell smells of somebody's dinner rather than air freshener.
Checkout is ten and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.

10.0Genuinely special
Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right. We ended up in the same corner cafe three mornings running, which tells you something about Centro Habana. A proper coffee machine in the room, not sachets of dust. The bathroom is bigger than the one at home, with a rain shower and a bench to put things on.
No complaints from us this time.

7.8Right for a short stay
Went in with low expectations after the last place. Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. Centro Habana is a sensible base, a few streets back from the crowds and still close to everything.
Only one socket by the bed, and the switch for it is behind the headboard.
