7.1The address is the best thing about it
Two nights, and two would have been plenty. Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. Parking is available and reasonably priced for the area.
Building work started at half past seven each morning and nobody had warned us at booking. The radiator clanked from about half past seven every morning.

9.4Faultless from start to finish
There is a shortcut through the square that saves about five minutes and somebody drew it on my map. Amer turned out to be exactly the right call - everything I had pinned was walkable. Astonishingly quiet for somewhere this central - I never heard the street once.

Would come back tomorrow. A proper coffee machine in the room, not sachets of dust. Self check-in with a code, clear instructions, and I was inside two minutes after the taxi left.

Living like a resident rather than a guest for a week: market, kitchen, balcony, repeat. Nothing was too much trouble - a spare adapter, a table booking, a taxi at dawn.

8.0Right for a short stay
Two bus routes and a tram stop within a few minutes, so we got around easily. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced. The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast.
Pillows are enormous and there is no alternative on offer.

9.6Could not have gone better
Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right. The staff pointed me to a noodle counter round the corner and it became my regular. Double glazing that works, so the tram going past is a rumour rather than an event. Self check-in with a code, clear instructions, and I was inside two minutes after the taxi left.
The walk back from Hawa Mahal is all uphill, which I had not thought about.
