Fine if you're out all day
Booked late and got lucky. Firm mattress, which is exactly how we like it. There is a coffee machine in the room, which saved us a few euros a day.
You hear the door of the room next to you every time it shuts.

Not as described
Being fifteen minutes from St John's Co-Cathedral was the one thing that worked in its favour. Room was warm enough in December, which was the main worry.
The bathroom fan runs for twenty minutes after you leave and is loud. You hear the door of the room next to you every time it shuts.

Location good, room less so
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. Firm mattress, which is exactly how we like it. Reception were helpful when we needed a doctor's address, which we appreciated. A bell rings somewhere nearby on the hour and we stopped noticing it by the second day.
Checkout at half past nine is early when you have an evening flight.

Spoiled us completely
Slept better than at home, which after four flights in a week is saying something. Our taxi driver could not find the entrance and drove past it twice, so save the map pin.
Nothing - we have already looked at dates for next year.

Genuinely lovely stay
Someone has planted herbs in pots by the door and you are clearly meant to use them. We upgraded to the flat and would do it again without thinking.

Fair value for Valletta
Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. Good position overall, and we walked most places rather than paying for cabs.
