Faultless from start to finish
The Deluxe King Room is bigger than the photographs suggest and cleverly laid out. Breakfast is worth getting up for: warm bread and good jam, the morning coffee made to order and fruit that tasted of something.
Shower pressure drops off when the floor is busy at about eight.

Does the important things well
We were at Tower Bridge in five minutes on foot, which changed how we used the days.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in November, when it is bright by seven.

Right for a short stay
Went in with low expectations after the last place. Pleasant bar for a nightcap, and they do not rush you out of it. Good spread at breakfast and they keep the coffee coming. The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast. A desk of a usable size, a proper chair and sockets where you need them.
I was reminded about the half past ten checkout twice on the Tuesday, which felt unnecessary.

Spoiled us completely
Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Notting Hill late at night.
One small lift for four floors - fine unless everyone checks out at once. Breakfast is the same every day, which by the third morning I had noticed.

Would come back tomorrow. Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs.
The extractor does not cope, so the mirror is useless after the first shower.

Wifi was quick enough for email, maps and an evening of streaming. Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs. Reception were helpful when I needed a doctor's address, which I appreciated.
Housekeeping missed me entirely on the Friday.
