Good from check-in onwards
The sea is genuinely a two-minute walk, not the ten minutes some places call beachfront. The courtyard rooms hear nothing but pigeons, which is the whole point. Opened the shutters on the first morning and just stood there for a minute.
Nothing, unless you count the taxi driver on the way out.

Handy for Casa Batlló
Blackout curtains that meet in the middle, a mattress with some life in it, and silence after eleven. Good toiletries in refillable bottles, and towels changed without being asked twice.
The walk back to the station on the Thursday, and that is scraping.

Better in the photos
Clean and tidy throughout the stay. The window in the bathroom looks straight onto a wall covered in jasmine.
The carpet on the second floor is due for replacing. The evening entertainment carries as far as the sixth floor.

Falls short of the description
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. I left a charger behind and it arrived at home nine days later, no charge for the postage. Good set-up for families - a shallow pool, high chairs and staff who do not mind noise.
The sofa bed in the Sea View Room is not somewhere you would want a second week.

It is priced sensibly, and that counts for something.
Traffic on the main road carries to the front rooms until well past midnight.

The address is the best thing about it
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. The lift has one of those inner doors you have to pull shut, which the children opposite treated as the highlight of their week. The Two-Bedroom Family Villa suited us well for a short stay.
Only one socket by the bed, and the switch for it is behind the headboard.
