Handy, if a little dated
There is a coffee machine in the room, which saved us a few euros a day; we slept well: the room is dark, cool and quiet after ten. Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. Wifi was quick enough for email, maps and an evening of streaming.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in November, when it is bright by eight. We were reminded about the ten checkout twice on the Thursday, which felt unnecessary.

Restful and central
Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right. Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Ezelstraat late at night. The lift has one of those inner doors you have to pull shut, which the children opposite treated as the highlight of their week.

Rare to get it all right
Right, so. We booked for three nights and extended to five, which tells you what we thought of the price. Parking on site and free, which in Bruges saved us more than the room rate difference.
Checkout at nine is early when you have an evening flight.

Everything we hoped for
In September you need the aircon to work properly, and here it does. Self check-in with a code, clear instructions, and we were inside two minutes after the taxi left. No faff with the room: dark, cool and quiet by ten.

Not what the photos promised
Wanted to like it more than I did. Feels like a real home rather than a rental, which I prefer. You get more for the money here than at the two places I priced up in Ezelstraat.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is Bruges rather than the hotel. Shower pressure drops off when the floor is busy at about seven.
