Charming and spotless
The building is residential, so the stairwell smells of somebody's dinner rather than air freshener.

Handy for Train Street
The building is residential, so the stairwell smells of somebody's dinner rather than air freshener. There is a lift, which in a building this old is a small miracle.
There is no fridge in the room, so the wine I bought stayed warm.

Right for a short stay
Sanne at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful. The flat is well organised and everything has somewhere to go. We slept well: the room is dark, cool and quiet after ten. Kitchen is well enough equipped for simple cooking.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in November, when it is bright by half past six.

Two nights was enough
Ba Dinh is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far. Comfortable bed, and they brought firmer pillows within ten minutes of asking. Feels like a real home rather than a rental, which we prefer.
The desk was stretched thin and it showed - three requests went unanswered.

Needs a proper refurbishment
In fairness, the person on the desk did what she could.
The wall to the corridor carries every conversation, and there was one at nine on the Saturday. I was moved rooms on the Friday at an hour's notice with no explanation.

Restful and central
I was at Train Street in twenty minutes on foot, which changed how I used the days. Self check-in with a code, clear instructions, and I was inside two minutes after the taxi left.
Street parking is free after half past ten and impossible before it.
