8.4Does the important things well
Good toiletries in refillable bottles, and towels changed without being asked twice.
There is no fridge in the room, so the wine I bought stayed warm.

Long weekend, first time in San Telmo. There is a lift, which we were glad of on the way up with the cases. Connection was good enough to work from for a morning.
Check-in is a lockbox and a set of instructions, so there is nobody to ask when the boiler sulks.

Straight to it: the location is the thing. Self check-in with a code, clear instructions, and we were inside two minutes after the taxi left.
One person on the desk at ten in the evening means a queue when the airport bus arrives.

Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. Reasonably peaceful at the back of the building.
A second bedside lamp and a couple more sockets would finish the room off. The aircon unit drips onto the balcony floor, which I mentioned on the Wednesday.

Some of this worked, some of it did not. The kettle was already descaled, which is the kind of detail that tells you how a place is run; the desk kept an eye out for me without making a thing of it.

Feels like a real home rather than a rental, which we prefer.
The mattress dips in the middle, which after three nights you notice.
