No surprises, good or bad
Fair value for Lisbon prices, particularly in high season. The flat is well organised and everything has somewhere to go. Feels like a real home rather than a rental, which we prefer.
Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom except the edge of the basin. Pillows are enormous and there is no alternative on offer.

Would recommend with one caveat
Warm room, thick curtains and dark afternoons spent reading - exactly what December is for. The front door code worked every time, which sounds like a low bar until you have stayed somewhere it did not.
It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with the suitcases in the heat.

Left slightly deflated
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. The front door code worked every time, which sounds like a low bar until you have stayed somewhere it did not. The flat is well organised and everything has somewhere to go.
The heating is on a timer and goes off at about nine, which in November you feel by morning.

Tired and overpriced
The lift has one of those inner doors you have to pull shut, which the children opposite treated as the highlight of their week - the view over the rooftops from the balcony is a proper one. The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast.
Footsteps from the floor above from around half past seven each morning. The mattress dips in the middle, which after four nights you notice.

Disappointing, sadly
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. There is a bakery two doors down that opens at six, which we discovered by accident on the first morning.

Not for us
The location is genuinely good, which is most of why we stuck it out. The shower at least was hot.
The heating did not work properly for the first three nights and the fix took until the last day. Scaffolding went up on the building opposite halfway through our stay.
