Better than the street suggests
The building is residential, so the stairwell smells of somebody's dinner rather than air freshener. Our flight landed at one in the morning and the man on the desk still made us a tea.
Waiting twenty-five seconds for the lift each time adds up when you go back for a jumper.

Some good, some frustrating
Some of this worked, some of it did not; the room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left. Check-in was straightforward and the desk answered questions properly.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in December, when it is bright by eight.

Comfortable and well placed
Within two streets there is a natural wine shop and a proper greengrocer, so we ate well and cheaply. Slept better than at home, which after four flights in a week is saying something.

Would stay again at that price
There is a coffee machine in the room, which saved me a few euros a day; there is a shortcut through the square that saves about five minutes and somebody drew it on my map.
The heating is on a timer and goes off at about eleven, which in November you feel by morning.

Right for a short stay
Long weekend, first time in Garden City. Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out. The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left. My taxi driver could not find the entrance and drove past it twice, so save the map pin.
The lift is slow enough that I walked down from the third floor most days.

Strong all round
Turned up late, tired and grumpy, and were looked after. A cat lives in the courtyard and considers the chairs to be hers. Self check-in with a code, clear instructions, and we were inside two minutes after the taxi left. The heating was already on when we arrived, which in November matters more than any spa.
Nothing, and I am usually good at finding something.
