Practical rather than charming
Feels like a real home rather than a rental, which we prefer. A desk of a usable size, a proper chair and sockets where you need them.
The shower takes a good minute to warm up, which adds up over four days.

No complaints, no fireworks
I am fussy about where I sleep. The desk kept an eye out for me without making a thing of it. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced.
The lift is slow enough that I walked down from the second floor most days. Everything on site is priced for people not counting, from the water to the laundry.

Would look elsewhere next time
Wifi was quick enough for email, maps and an evening of streaming.
The sofa bed in the flat is not somewhere you would want a second week. Check-in is a lockbox and a set of instructions, so there is nobody to ask when the boiler sulks.

Easy to recommend
The building is residential, so the stairwell smells of somebody's dinner rather than air freshener.
One small lift for five floors - fine unless everyone checks out at once.

Stayed three nights, wanted five
Christmas markets two streets away and the smell of them drifting up to the window. Self check-in with a code, clear instructions, and we were inside two minutes after the taxi left. For what we paid in December, this was the best value stay of the trip by a distance.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in December, when it is bright by half past seven.
