Spoiled us completely
Spotless, including the places nobody checks - skirting boards, the kettle, under the bed. The window in the bathroom looks straight onto a wall covered in jasmine.
That we booked only four nights.

Falls short of the description
Charming small hotel, and the lighting lifts it above the usual.
There is no fridge in the room, so the wine we bought stayed warm. Getting a taxi to find the entrance took some explaining.

One person on the desk at ten in the evening means a queue when the airport bus arrives.

Not terrible, not memorable
The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left. Fabio at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful. Good for a few nights alone - I was left to get on with it.
There is a bar on the corner that empties out noisily on a Tuesday night. The extractor does not cope, so the mirror is useless after the first shower.

Underwhelmed but not unhappy
Mixed feelings about this one. Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night.
Everything on site is priced for people not counting, from the water to the laundry.

Not as described
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. The stairs creak in a way that is either charming or annoying depending on how tired you are. It works as a place to sleep between meetings.
You hear the door of the room next to you every time it shuts. The furniture is dated and the corridors could do with a repaint.
