Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Príncipe Real late at night.
Shower pressure drops off when the floor is busy at about half past seven.

There is a coffee machine in the room, which saved me a few euros a day. Pleasant bar for a nightcap, and they do not rush you out of it. Firm mattress, which is exactly how I like it.
I was reminded about the half past nine checkout twice on the Sunday, which felt unnecessary.

7.6Simple and clean
Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out. Príncipe Real is a sensible base, a few streets back from the crowds and still close to everything.
Only one socket by the bed, and the switch for it is behind the headboard.

Would come back tomorrow. Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Príncipe Real late at night.
Only that everywhere else now has a lot to live up to.

7.7Clean and central, not much else
Wifi was quick enough for email, maps and an evening of streaming. There is a shortcut through the square that saves about five minutes and somebody drew it on our map.
Checkout at nine is early when you have an evening flight.

4.9Never again
Elke on the desk was kind about it, which is more than the place deserves.
The lift was out of order the whole week and there is no sign of it being fixed. The photographs show a refurbished room. Ours was not one of them, and the carpet was visibly worn through.
