Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about
The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot. The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast.
The keycards demagnetised twice and we had to go back down to the desk.

Right for a short stay
Would come back tomorrow. Nobody blinked at a table for one, which is not true everywhere. You get more for the money here than at the two places I priced up in Coyoacán.
Scaffolding went up on the building opposite halfway through my stay.

Cancelled the rest of our stay
Nothing I would put in this box, and I have thought about it.
I reported a broken shower on arrival and it was still broken when I left two days later. Housekeeping did not come at all in five nights and I asked for towels twice. I was moved rooms on the Saturday at an hour's notice with no explanation.

Good bones, tired edges
Room was warm enough in November, which was the main worry. Fair value for Mexico City prices, particularly in high season. Charming small hotel, and the tiling lifts it above the usual.
One person on the desk at eleven in the evening means a queue when the airport bus arrives.

The address is the best thing about it
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. A cat lives in the courtyard and considers the chairs to be hers. The view over the rooftops from the balcony is a proper one.
The bathroom door catches on the bed frame, which tells you the size of the Twin Room.

Better on price than polish
Fair value for Mexico City prices, particularly in high season.
The Double Room with Garden View is smaller than the photographs suggest - two open cases will not fit on the floor.
