Good bones, tired edges
Fabio at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful. A cat lives in the courtyard and considers the chairs to be hers. Connection was good enough to work from for a morning. Good spread at breakfast and they keep the coffee coming.
There is construction across the street that starts at eight, so bring earplugs. Wifi does not reach the terrace, which is where you actually want to sit.

It works as a place to sleep between meetings.
Towels are changed only on request, which is sensible but was not explained. The staircase is narrow and steep, so allow a minute or two more than you think.

Not quite worth it
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. Charming small hotel, and the fabrics lifts it above the usual. There is a coffee machine in the room, which saved us a few euros a day.
Checkout is ten and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.

Expected far more
The bed itself was comfortable enough.
The Suite is smaller than the photographs suggest - two open cases will not fit on the floor. The connection slowed to nothing each evening from about eleven, when the place fills up.

Would book again tomorrow
Straight to it: the location is the thing. I ended up in the same corner cafe three mornings running, which tells you something about Kluuvi. The lift has one of those inner doors you have to pull shut, which the children opposite treated as the highlight of their week.
Loading and unloading outside is awkward on a street that narrow.

Great base for Helsinki
For what I paid in October, this was the best value stay of the trip by a distance. Room service arrived in fifteen minutes at half past ten, which is why I book here.
Checkout is eleven and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.
