Poor value in Old Town
The bed itself was comfortable enough.
The bathroom is clean but the fittings belong to a previous decade. The room we were given was not the one we booked and it took two conversations to be moved.

Somewhere between fine and not
Old Town is a sensible base, a few streets back from the crowds and still close to everything. They let us sit in the courtyard with our own wine on the last night.
The kitchen closes at half past nine, which we found out the hard way on the Wednesday.

Wanted to like it more
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. Lovely for a couple of nights away, quiet and personal.
A bottle of water in the room costs what a bottle of wine costs on the corner. The car park is a five-minute walk and costs more per night than we expected.

Reliable rather than exciting
Turned up late, tired and grumpy, and were looked after. A bell rings somewhere nearby on the hour and I stopped noticing it by the second day. The view over the rooftops from the balcony is a proper one.
There is construction across the street that starts at quarter past seven, so bring earplugs.

Some good, some frustrating
Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs. The Cosy Room is well organised and everything has somewhere to go.
Breakfast is the same every day, which by the last morning I had noticed.

Pleasant few nights
There is a shortcut through the square that saves about five minutes and somebody drew it on our map. Small breakfast, but everything on the table was good - a cheese and ham plate and a pot of proper coffee.
The shower door leaks a little onto the bathroom floor.
