Very good, minor niggles
I was at Trevi Fountain in fifteen minutes on foot, which changed how I used the days. Staff run things properly - keycard on the dorm door, quiet hours actually enforced.
It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with the suitcases in the heat.

Restful and central
Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms. In September you need the aircon to work properly, and here it does. The radiator clanked at about two in the morning and then settled down, and honestly we grew fond of it.
It is a good five minutes from the nearest tram stop, further than the listing suggests.

Does what it says
The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast. Two bus routes and a tram stop within a few minutes, so I got around easily. The desk is staffed at night, which mattered for my late arrival.
Wifi drops in the far rooms, so I took calls in the lobby.

The one to book in Campo de' Fiori
Opened the shutters on the first morning and just stood there for a minute. The kettle was already descaled, which is the kind of detail that tells you how a place is run.
Only the weather, which is hardly their doing.

Better in the photos
Some of this worked, some of it did not. Bikes to borrow, which we used on both mornings. Comfortable bed, and they brought firmer pillows within ten minutes of asking. The view over the rooftops from the balcony is a proper one. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced.
Everything on site is priced for people not counting, from the water to the laundry. The room we were given was not the one we booked and it took two conversations to be moved.

Asked for a refund
They did refund the second night without arguing, so credit for that.
Noise from the bar downstairs went on past two every night and the walls do nothing. No hot water at all on the first morning, and no warning that the boiler was being worked on.
