Fine, with caveats. Fair value for Rome prices, particularly in high season. The dorm was fine and the showers were hot in the morning, which is the real test.
Scaffolding went up on the building opposite halfway through my stay.

You cannot set the aircon below twenty-three, which in October is not quite enough.

Spot on for a first visit - you can walk out of the door and start. I ended up in the same corner cafe three mornings running, which tells you something about Prati.

The room was at least clean when we arrived. It is priced sensibly, and that counts for something.
The restaurant is fine but you would not choose it if you were not already staying there. The city tax and the cleaning fee together came as a surprise at checkout.

9.0Lovely staff, lovely building
Third time in Rome and the first time we have got the hotel right. The terrace is small but nobody else seems to use it, so it became ours. The common room does that rare thing of being sociable without being loud at two in the morning. Spotless, including the places nobody checks - skirting boards, the kettle, under the bed.
We could not find anything to complain about.

8.0Handy, if a little dated
Two bus routes and a tram stop within a few minutes, so we got around easily.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in June, when it is bright by quarter past seven.
