Better in the photos
Two nights, and two would have been plenty. The desk is staffed at night, which mattered for our late arrival. The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left. Good position overall, and we walked most places rather than paying for cabs. Three rooms on the same floor, which saved a lot of shouting up stairwells.
There is construction across the street that starts at eight, so bring earplugs. The dorm was not cleaned between guests on the Wednesday.

Decent, with reservations
Three rooms on the same floor, which saved a lot of shouting up stairwells.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in December, when it is bright by half past six. The bar downstairs runs until two and you hear it in the front dorms.

Does the job
Came for two nights, stayed four. Firm mattress, which is exactly how we like it.
The grouting in the bathroom is tired and no amount of cleaning will fix it now.

Location good, room less so
The stairs creak in a way that is either charming or annoying depending on how tired you are. The dorm was fine and the showers were hot in the morning, which is the real test.
Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom except the edge of the basin.

Clean and quiet, close to everything
Lockers are big enough for a sixty-litre pack, which almost nowhere manages.
The car park is a ten-minute walk and costs more per night than I expected.

Worth every penny
Not fancy, but that was never the point. Somebody had left a shelf of paperbacks by the window and I got through two of them. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right.
Nothing - we have already looked at dates for next year.
