Spoiled us completely
Cooking from the market two streets away was half the pleasure of the week. Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three.
Nobody was on the desk for about twenty-five minutes when we arrived on the Tuesday.

Sound choice near Art Deco District
The dorm was fine and the showers were hot in the morning, which is the real test.
Service in the bar was slow when it filled up after ten.

Genuinely lovely stay
Came for two nights, stayed four. The radiator clanked at about two in the morning and then settled down, and honestly I grew fond of it. Nobody made me feel odd about eating alone, and the desk checked I had got back on the wet night.
Getting a taxi to find the entrance took some explaining.

Complained twice, changed nothing
It is quiet during the day, if that is any use to anyone. Cheap, and now I understand why.
I wanted to sleep somewhere clean and quiet, and got neither. The bathroom door did not shut and the toilet ran all night. The photographs show a refurbished room. Ours was not one of them, and the carpet was visibly worn through. Housekeeping did not come at all in two nights and we asked for towels twice.

Book it and stop looking
The kitchen has everything, including sharp knives and a decent pan, so I cooked most nights. The neighbour opposite waters her balcony at seven every morning and says hello. Family dinner in the kitchen on Wednesday for almost nothing and I met half the hostel.
I was reminded about the nine checkout twice on the Monday, which felt unnecessary.
