Falls well short
Being five minutes from Trinity College was the one thing that worked in its favour.
One radiator for the whole room, and in December that is not quite enough. Stairs only to the second floor, which was fine for us but would not suit everyone.

Left early
They did refund the second night without arguing, so credit for that.
The lock on the door did not engage properly, which is not something you want to discover at midnight. Housekeeping did not come at all in four nights and I asked for towels twice. Service ranged from warm to indifferent depending on who was working.

We have already rebooked
The kind of place you book for two nights and immediately regret not booking for four. Worth every penny, and we do not say that often. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right.

Faultless from start to finish
Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three. Milo on reception had us checked in inside three minutes and drew a map of the area on the spot.
The keycards demagnetised twice and we had to go back down to the desk.

No surprises, good or bad
Booked late and got lucky. Breakfast is an extra, and worth it for fresh figs and yoghurt alone. Two bus routes and a tram stop within a few minutes, so I got around easily.
There is a bar on the corner that empties out noisily on a Friday night.
