Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three.
Street parking is free after ten and impossible before it.

10.0Genuinely lovely stay
Borrowed the bikes on the first morning and barely used public transport after that - the kind of place you book for two nights and immediately regret not booking for four.
No complaints from us this time.

7.2Some good, some frustrating
Fine, with caveats. Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about. There is a lift, which I was glad of on the way up with the cases. Clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing. Practical base near the offices, and the checkout was quick at seven in the morning.
The last two hundred metres are steep and cobbled - not a problem, just plan for it. No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw.

In September you need the aircon to work properly, and here it does. Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three.
Hot water was slow to arrive on the third floor first thing.

The restaurant is fine but you would not choose it if you were not already staying there.

9.7Could not have gone better
Straight to it: the location is the thing. Somebody has thought about the joinery, and it shows in a way photographs do not capture. Plenty of storage in the Signature Room, which sounds dull until you have unpacked for a fortnight. The terrace is small but nobody else seems to use it, so it became ours.
Nothing here. Do book it.
