Mixed, mostly good
Long weekend, first time in Mid-Beach. We slept well: the room is dark, cool and quiet after ten. Lovely for a couple of nights away, quiet and personal.
There is no fridge in the room, so the wine we bought stayed warm. Towels are changed only on request, which is sensible but was not explained.

Location carries it
Went in with low expectations after the last place. The terrace is a good place to sit with a book in the late afternoon. The desk kept an eye out for me without making a thing of it. The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast.
The shower door leaks a little onto the bathroom floor. Pillows are enormous and there is no alternative on offer.

Disappointing, sadly
Some of this worked, some of it did not. It works as a place to sleep between meetings.
The heating is on a timer and goes off at about ten, which in December you feel by morning.

Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in November, when it is bright by quarter past seven.

Perfectly decent
The terrace is a good place to sit with a book in the late afternoon. Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night. The Terrace Room suited me well for a short stay.
Nobody was on the desk for about twenty-five minutes when I arrived on the Sunday.

Not what the photos promised
Mid-Beach is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far. Reasonably peaceful at the back of the building.
The desk was stretched thin and it showed - five requests went unanswered. Cleanliness was not what it should be - we found the previous guest's earring under the bed.
