Comfortable enough for three nights
They lent us an umbrella on the wet Tuesday and did not ask for it back until we left. Reasonably peaceful at the back of the building.
Street noise at the front until the bars close - ask for a room over the courtyard.

As good as Bangkok gets
Booked this on a whim and glad we did. The front door code worked every time, which sounds like a low bar until you have stayed somewhere it did not. The kind of place you book for two nights and immediately regret not booking for four.

Our favourite find in Bangkok
Booked this on a whim and glad we did. You step out of the door and you are already somewhere worth being. The staff pointed us to a noodle counter round the corner and it became our regular. The roof terrace at sunset is the reason to book this place - we went up every night. I ran two client calls from the desk and the room was quiet enough that nobody asked where I was.
Only the weather, which is hardly their doing.

Hard to improve on
Nobody made me feel odd about eating alone, and the desk checked I had got back on the wet night. Blackout curtains that meet in the middle, a mattress with some life in it, and silence after eleven.
The walk back to the station on the Saturday, and that is scraping.

Faultless from start to finish
Booked this on a whim and glad we did. Nothing was too much trouble - a spare adapter, a table booking, a taxi at dawn. Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three.
The walk back to the station on the Sunday, and that is scraping.

Good location, mixed stay
Good for a few nights alone - I was left to get on with it. Reasonably peaceful at the back of the building.
A second bedside lamp and a couple more sockets would finish the room off. It is a good twenty-five minutes from the nearest tram stop, further than the listing suggests.
