Fine, with caveats. Breakfast was fine, and the coffee was better than expected.
Cleanliness was not what it should be - we found the previous guest's earring under the bed. Thin walls, so we knew a fair amount about our neighbours and their travel plans.

Fifteen rooms, one very good coffee machine and a courtyard nobody talks in above a murmur.
Only the weather, which is hardly their doing.

7.2Average stay in a good spot
Charming small hotel, and the lighting lifts it above the usual. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced. Good spread at breakfast and they keep the coffee coming.
For the money we expected a little more attention to detail.

6.5A stay of two halves
Reception were helpful when we needed a doctor's address, which we appreciated. Lovely for a couple of nights away, quiet and personal.
Footsteps from the floor above from around seven each morning. Dust on the top of the wardrobe and behind the door, which we noticed on the third day.

9.9A proper welcome
We are fussy about where we sleep. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right. Cheaper than the chain hotels two streets over and considerably nicer.

Some of this worked, some of it did not. Lovely for a couple of nights away, quiet and personal.
The bathroom door catches on the bed frame, which tells you the size of the Terrace Room.
