The Lumen Sala Kamreuk was a merchant's house before it was a hotel, and the staircase has not forgotten it. Rooftop terrace makes the difference on a longer stay. The rooftop opens in the evening and closes when the last guest gives up.

9.5Better than the photographs
Sat on the terrace with a glass of wine watching the light go off the rooftops. That is the memory.
Hot water was slow to arrive on the sixth floor first thing.

I left a charger behind and it arrived at home nine days later, no charge for the postage. Charming small hotel, and the fabrics lifts it above the usual.
We were reminded about the half past nine checkout twice on the Friday, which felt unnecessary.

8.5Solid choice, would return
Breakfast is worth getting up for: a cheese and ham plate, the coffee made to order and fruit that tasted of something. I booked for three nights and extended to five, which tells you what I thought of the price. The air conditioning made the August heat survivable and it runs quietly.
The lift is slow enough that I walked down from the fifth floor most days.

Wanted to like it more than we did. Charming small hotel, and the fabrics lifts it above the usual. Breakfast is an extra, and worth it for fresh figs and yoghurt alone.
Scaffolding went up on the building opposite halfway through our stay. Footsteps from the floor above from around quarter past seven each morning.
