Better than the street suggests
Luggage storage on the last day meant a proper final afternoon rather than dragging cases about. Four of us across two rooms on the same corridor, which they arranged without being asked. Nothing was too much trouble - a spare adapter, a table booking, a taxi at dawn.
We were reminded about the half past ten checkout twice on the Tuesday, which felt unnecessary.

Does what it says
The desk kept an eye out for me without making a thing of it.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in November, when it is bright by half past seven.

Not quite worth it
Not a disaster, just not what we expected. The terrace is a good place to sit with a book in the late afternoon. Kitchen is well enough equipped for simple cooking. Location is the strong point - seven minutes to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and a metro stop close by. Easy place to be a group without annoying anyone.
For the money we expected a little more attention to detail. Pillows are enormous and there is no alternative on offer.

Good spot, tired rooms
Kitchen is well enough equipped for simple cooking.
Stairs only to the sixth floor, which was fine for us but would not suit everyone.

Adequate and well placed
Straight to it: the location is the thing. Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about. They keep a pillow menu at reception and actually bring what you ask for. Bag storage on the last day was useful.
The grouting in the bathroom is tired and no amount of cleaning will fix it now. The connection slowed to nothing each evening from about half past nine, when the place fills up.

A proper welcome
Third time in Muscat and the first time we have got the hotel right. Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms. Four of us across two rooms on the same corridor, which they arranged without being asked.
