Simple rooms, thick walls, and the sort of welcome that makes the price look low. Worth knowing before you arrive: homemade breakfast, plus local tips from the hosts. It is the kind of place people rebook rather than recommend loudly.

Great few days in Docklands
Check-in was quick and human, and they remembered our names for the rest of the stay. Homemade cake at four in the afternoon, whether or not you asked for it. Sat on the terrace with a glass of wine watching the light go off the rooftops. That is the memory.
The walk back from Kilmainham Gaol is all uphill, which we had not thought about. Hot water was slow to arrive on the third floor first thing.

Cancelled the rest of our stay
The location is genuinely good, and that is the only reason this is not lower.
Two of us, three nights, and almost nothing went smoothly. The fridge in the Family Suite had somebody else's food in it. Wifi dropped out constantly, which mattered because I was working.

The best night's sleep of the trip
Fast, stable wifi in the room rather than only in the lobby, which is rarer than it should be. My flight landed at one in the morning and the man on the desk still made me a tea.
The walk back to the station on the Friday, and that is scraping.

Simple and clean
We nearly booked somewhere flashier and I am glad we did not. Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about. The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot.
Shower pressure drops off when the floor is busy at about eight.

Decent, with reservations
Short version: yes. The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot.
The bathroom door catches on the bed frame, which tells you the size of the Family Suite.

I would ask for your money back
Ola on the desk was kind about it, which is more than the place deserves. The location is genuinely good, and that is the only reason this is not lower.
Where to start. We reported a broken shower on arrival and it was still broken when we left four days later. The room smelled strongly of damp and the window did not open to air it out. Nobody was on the desk for long stretches, so we stood in the lobby with our bags for twenty minutes at check-in.
