Our favourite find in London
Went in with low expectations after the last place. Teodora sat with us over a map on the first evening and half our trip came out of that conversation. The courtyard rooms hear nothing but pigeons, which is the whole point.

The terrace alone is worth it
Spot on for a first visit - you can walk out of the door and start. Marta sat with us over a map on the first evening and half our trip came out of that conversation. Borrowed the bikes on the first morning and barely used public transport after that.
Checkout at half past nine is early when you have an evening flight.

Easy to recommend
Records in the room, a proper armchair and the flat whites that would hold up in any city. Easy to park right outside and no hunting around at midnight. We were at British Museum in twenty-five minutes on foot, which changed how we used the days. We upgraded to the Double Room with Garden View and would do it again without thinking.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is London rather than the hotel.

Very good, minor niggles
The view from the balcony is not a marketing photograph - it is genuinely that. Nobody made me feel odd about eating alone, and the desk checked I had got back on the wet night.

Booked late and got lucky. Somebody has thought about the lighting, and it shows in a way photographs do not capture.
