Comfortable enough
Turned up late, tired and grumpy, and were looked after. Comfortable bed, and they brought firmer pillows within ten minutes of asking. Wifi was quick enough for email, maps and an evening of streaming.
Not much space to move around the bed once a case is open on the floor.

Needs some attention
Charming small hotel, and the old terrazzo floor lifts it above the usual.
Everything on site is priced for people not counting, from the water to the laundry. The bathroom fan runs for ten minutes after you leave and is loud.

Everything we hoped for
We were at City Palace in twenty minutes on foot, which changed how we used the days. Breakfast is worth getting up for: proper pastries, the morning coffee made to order and fruit that tasted of something.

Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about
They keep a pillow menu at reception and actually bring what you ask for. The Family Suite suited me well for a short stay. Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night.
Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom except the edge of the basin.

You have to log in again every day, which is a small irritation that adds up over five nights.

We have already rebooked
Came for two nights, stayed four. The garden at the back is where I spent every evening with a bottle of something local.
Check-in is not until four and there is nowhere comfortable to wait.
