Could not have gone better
Somebody has thought about the tiling, and it shows in a way photographs do not capture. Christmas markets two streets away and the smell of them drifting up to the window.

Regretted it by the second night
They did refund the second night without arguing, so credit for that.
Where to start. Housekeeping did not come at all in two nights and we asked for towels twice. Noise from the bar downstairs went on past two every night and the walls do nothing. The kitchen was missing most of what you would need to cook, despite the listing. It needs a refurbishment rather than another coat of paint, and the price has not caught up with that.

Comfortable and well placed
Room service arrived in fifteen minutes at half past ten, which is why I book here. Good toiletries in refillable bottles, and towels changed without being asked twice. Coffee on the balcony before breakfast, watching Getsemaní wake up. Worth the upgrade.
Breakfast is charged separately and is not far off cafe prices in Getsemaní.

Would book again on price
Location is the strong point - eight minutes to Castillo San Felipe and a metro stop close by.
Traffic on the main road carries to the front rooms until well past midnight.

The one to book in Getsemaní
Sat on the terrace with a glass of wine watching the light go off the rooftops. That is the memory. Four of us across two rooms on the same corridor, which they arranged without being asked. Fast, stable wifi in the room rather than only in the lobby, which is rarer than it should be.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in October, when it is bright by eight.

Ticked every box that mattered
Fifteen rooms, one very good coffee machine and a courtyard nobody talks in above a murmur.
Mosquitoes in the evening once the doors are open - the shop on the corner sells the plug-ins. Only one socket by the bed, and the switch for it is behind the headboard.
