Worth every penny and then some
The terrace is small but nobody else seems to use it, so it became ours. There is a shortcut through the square that saves about five minutes and somebody drew it on our map.

Good value for Jordaan
They lent us an umbrella on the wet Tuesday and did not ask for it back until we left. You step out of the door and you are already somewhere worth being.

Perfectly decent
We are fussy about where we sleep. The terrace is a good place to sit with a book in the late afternoon. Easy place to be a group without annoying anyone.
Service in the bar was slow when it filled up after half past ten.

Solid choice, would return
Right, so. Opened the shutters on the first morning and just stood there for a minute. Ended up on the walking tour with four people from my dorm and we were still out at midnight. For what we paid in November, this was the best value stay of the trip by a distance.
One person on the desk at ten in the evening means a queue when the airport bus arrives.

Some of this worked, some of it did not. Good position overall, and we walked most places rather than paying for cabs.
Check-in is not until four and there is nowhere comfortable to wait.
