Hard to recommend at this rate
The terrace is a good place to sit with a book in the late afternoon. Nobody blinked at a table for one, which is not true everywhere.
Dust on the top of the wardrobe and behind the door, which I noticed on the third day.

Deeply disappointing
The bed itself was comfortable. Everything around it was not.
There was a leak from the ceiling in the bathroom that I reported twice and nothing was done. The fridge in the Private Double Room had somebody else's food in it. I was given a different room from the one I booked, smaller and facing the bins, with no adjustment to the price. The dorm was not cleaned between guests on the Tuesday.

Pleasant but noisy at night
They keep a pillow menu at reception and actually bring what you ask for. Good base for a few nights: clean dorm, big lockers, decent kitchen; the aircon held the room cool all through the August heat.
There is construction across the street that starts at half past seven, so bring earplugs.

Would think twice
The Bed in 6-bed female dorm is well organised and everything has somewhere to go. They let us sit in the courtyard with our own wine on the last night. Clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing.
The city tax and the cleaning fee together came as a surprise at checkout. Dust on the top of the wardrobe and behind the door, which we noticed on the third day.

Ten out of ten for Puerto Madero
Family dinner in the kitchen on Wednesday for almost nothing and I met half the hostel. Fast, stable wifi in the room rather than only in the lobby, which is rarer than it should be.

Ask for a room at the back
I nearly booked somewhere flashier and I am glad I did not. For Buenos Aires, this is a properly central spot without the coach parties. Worth every penny, and I do not say that often.
