Vasastan done properly
Borrowed the bikes on the first morning and barely used public transport after that; bunks have curtains, a plug and a light each, which is all anyone actually wants.
Genuinely nothing worth writing down.

Good location, average room
The front door code worked every time, which sounds like a low bar until you have stayed somewhere it did not. The desk is staffed at night, which mattered for my late arrival. Bikes to borrow, which I used on both mornings. Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night.
Checkout is eleven and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.

Book it and stop looking
Nobody made me feel odd about eating alone, and the desk checked I had got back on the wet night. Worth every penny, and I do not say that often. No faff with the room: dark, cool and quiet by ten.
The bathroom light is on a motion sensor and comes on if you turn over in bed.

Could not have gone better
Ended up on the walking tour with four people from my dorm and we were still out at midnight. We were at Gamla Stan in twelve minutes on foot, which changed how we used the days.

Hard to recommend at this rate
Good base for a few nights: clean dorm, big lockers, decent kitchen. Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about. Kitchen is well enough equipped for simple cooking.
One person on the desk at half past ten in the evening means a queue when the airport bus arrives.

Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about
The rate held steady when I added a night, which I appreciated. Nobody blinked at a table for one, which is not true everywhere. The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast.
Stairs only to the second floor, which was fine for me but would not suit everyone. Everything on site is priced for people not counting, from the water to the laundry.
