6.6Better in the photos
Bag storage on the last day was useful. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced.
The hot water failed on the second morning and was still off when we left. For the money we expected a little more attention to detail.

9.4Our favourite find in New York
I arrived hours early and they took the suitcases without a fuss, then messaged when the room was ready; plenty of storage in the Terrace Room, which sounds dull until you have unpacked for a fortnight. Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms.
The walk back to the station on the Tuesday, and that is scraping.

9.7The terrace alone is worth it
Not fancy, but that was never the point. Spotless, including the places nobody checks - skirting boards, the kettle, under the bed. Iron that heats up, a mirror you can knot a tie in, and enough sockets by the bed.
Nothing worth docking a point for.

9.7Would book again tomorrow
We nearly booked somewhere flashier and I am glad we did not. The view from the balcony is not a marketing photograph - it is genuinely that. The bathroom is bigger than the one at home, with a rain shower and a bench to put things on.
That we booked only three nights.

Easy place to be a group without annoying anyone. There is a bakery two doors down that opens at six, which we discovered by accident on the first morning.
No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw.

6.5Would think twice
The terrace is a good place to sit with a book in the late afternoon. Comfortable bed, and they brought firmer pillows within ten minutes of asking. Good for a few nights alone - I was left to get on with it.
The wall to the corridor carries every conversation, and there was one at nine on the Sunday.
