Some good, some frustrating
Two nights, and two would have been plenty. Worked well for a group of us, with somewhere to sit together in the evening.
Nobody told us the restaurant was closed for the week until we turned up hungry on the Thursday.

Genuinely lovely stay
Four of us across two rooms on the same corridor, which they arranged without being asked. For Cartagena, this is a properly central spot without the coach parties.

A proper welcome
Long weekend, first time in Ciudad Amurallada. Underfloor heating in the bathroom in December is a small luxury that we noticed every morning. The cook came on the Saturday and did a whole table of local dishes for less than a restaurant would charge.

Perfectly decent
Third time in Cartagena and the first time we have got the hotel right; the house is big enough for a group and the pool is genuinely private.
The shower head is fixed high on the wall and cannot be angled.

Passable, at a push
Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about.
We were reminded about the ten checkout twice on the Thursday, which felt unnecessary.

Well run and welcoming
The cook came on the Saturday and did a whole table of local dishes for less than a restaurant would charge. The sea is genuinely a two-minute walk, not the ten minutes some places call beachfront. Underfloor heating in the bathroom in September is a small luxury that we noticed every morning.
Nothing that would stop us booking again tomorrow.
