8.0Perfectly decent
The house is big enough for a group and the pool is genuinely private. The front door code worked every time, which sounds like a low bar until you have stayed somewhere it did not.
The pool is smaller than it looks online, and shaded from about three. The carpet on the fifth floor is due for replacing.

8.7Strong on location and staff
The housekeeper came three mornings a week and left the place immaculate without ever getting in our way. The lift has one of those inner doors you have to pull shut, which the children opposite treated as the highlight of their week. Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms.
The curtains do not quite meet in the middle, so you are up with the light. The keycards demagnetised twice and we had to go back down to the desk.

The aircon unit drips onto the balcony floor, which we mentioned on the Saturday.

The pool was clean, at least. A washing machine in the flat, which halfway through a long trip is a real thing.
The bathroom fan runs for ten minutes after you leave and is loud. The pool bar closes at six, which felt early for the season.

9.6Could not have gone better
Turned up late, tired and grumpy, and were looked after. The cook came on the Saturday and did a whole table of local dishes for less than a restaurant would charge.
Checkout at eleven is early when you have an evening flight.

7.7Practical rather than charming
Booked late and got lucky. Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out.
It is showing its age in places - a chipped door frame here, a tired carpet there.
